At 5.30 in the morning we went up to Tiger hill to see the sun rise.

Unfortunately we didn't get a good view of Everest as we had hoped but we did see this big, red blob instead.

A nice, colourful Buddha that we saw in a monastery on the way back down from Tiger Hill.

The site of Tensing Norgay's cremation in 1986. It's now a memorial.

Of course I've heard of Yaks! (For John C!)

A snow leopard. Darjeeling zoo is one of the few places in the world that has successfully bred them.

They have a rather old looking Siberian Tiger too.

Some Tibetan wolves. Darjeeling is the only place in the world to have bred these in captivity.

Finally, a smiley looking red panda.

Sikhandra, or Akbar's mausoleum.
