During their flight from Edoras, the people of Rohan rested near this tarn. Gimli also fell from his horse somewhere around here.

The sign is self-explanatory really but just in case you're still wondering, Aragorn was dragged over this cliff by a Warg in the Two Towers.

This location was used a few times. The beginning of the Rohans trek was shot here and in Return of the King, Gandalf and Pippin ride around the same tarn on their way to Minas Tirith (although the Remarkables (mountains) were clouded over).
